Gewaltschutz. Einfach. Machen. - Logo Design

Intro
The organization requested a logo featuring two interlocking waves — symbolizing the merging of two previously separate fields within violence protection. The challenge was to avoid a literal or decorative interpretation. Waves can easily appear technical, flat, or symbolic in an obvious way. The mark was not meant to rely on common “helper” imagery, while still reflecting the complexity of violence prevention, inclusion, and empowerment. Instead of depicting waves naturalistically, the concept was reduced to the principle of wave interference — the moment when two movements meet and create a new form. The visual mark translates this phenomenon into an abstract design language: Two dynamic lines shift, overlap, and influence one another. The result is not an addition, but a shared new movement. Through abstraction, the symbol remains open to interpretation — as a wave, a meeting point, a protective space, or interlocking forces. A barrier-free sans-serif typeface reinforces the inclusive mission formally: clear, reduced, accessible. The combination of dynamic abstraction and stable typography creates a balance between movement and structure. The logo does not illustrate — it articulates a stance.
